Privacy policy

1. Contact

Due Diligence Club is developed by Kaspar Media, Jan Wagener, Am Hohlen Weg 46, 34369 Hofgeismar, Germany. For privacy questions, contact support@kasparmedia.de.

2. Data stored on your device

The app stores career saves, simulated company records, decisions, notes and marked file entries, settings, language preferences, local statistics, learning-task progress, feedback records and demo-use records on your device. These records let you continue a game, retain your preferences and keep track of demo access.

You do not need a Kaspar Media account to play. Kaspar Media does not operate a central account or gameplay database for this app. Apple device backups may include app data according to your device settings.

3. Game Center

The app integrates Apple Game Center for scores and achievements. When you are signed in and the relevant services are available, game results and achievement progress can be submitted to Apple. The app stores an account-scoped Game Center identifier and pending submissions locally to associate results with the correct account.

Apple handles Game Center account information. Your nickname, scores and achievements may be visible to other players according to Apple’s settings. Read Game Center & Privacy for details. You can manage your Game Center account in device settings. Signing out does not delete local career saves.

4. Optional iCloud saved games

Cloud backup is off until you explicitly enable it. When enabled and Apple services are available, the app uses GameKit Saved Games to store career saves, lifetime statistics and permitted file highlights in your iCloud account. The backup includes an account-scoped Game Center identifier, save identifiers and timestamps to associate records with the right account and handle conflicts. Demo runs, tutorials, purchase information and feedback are excluded.

You need Game Center sign-in and iCloud Drive. Backups are stored by Apple, not in a Kaspar Media save database. You can turn cloud backup off in the app; this stops further backup activity and does not by itself erase an existing Apple-held copy. Loading a backup replaces local progress, with a local recovery copy retained by the app. Apple handles its account, storage and device-backup services under its Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases

Where the full-game purchase is offered, Apple processes the transaction through StoreKit. The app checks verified purchase entitlements to unlock the full game and restore access. Kaspar Media does not receive payment-card details. Apple may require an internet connection for purchases and restoration.

Apple’s processing is described in its Privacy Policy. Final products and prices are displayed in the app before purchase.

6. Advertising and analytics

The current app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and no Kaspar Media tracking service. Apple may process App Store, Game Center or diagnostic information under its own policies and your device settings.

7. Voluntary feedback and support

Bug reports, suggestions and general feedback can be saved locally in the app. A record contains a random submission identifier, timestamp, category, title, message, language and app version. No career save, device identifier, account data, purchase data or attachment is automatically included. The current app has not enabled live feedback transmission: records stay on your device, and you should email support to reach us.

If transmission is enabled in a later version, sending requires explicit agreement in the app. We will describe the receiving service, hosting, retention and any international transfers here before activation. Deleting a local feedback entry removes that local copy; it does not erase a report you separately exported or emailed.

If you contact us, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer your request and investigate the issue. Please avoid including payment credentials or unrelated personal information.

Where the GDPR applies, responding to a service request relies on Article 6(1)(b); other support correspondence relies on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). Correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve and follow up on the request, subject to applicable legal retention obligations.

8. Retention and deletion

Local app records remain on your device until they are reset where the app supports it, or the app and its data are deleted. Deleting the app can permanently remove your saves. Removing local data does not cancel or refund a purchase, erase Apple purchase records or remove scores already submitted to Game Center. Turning off cloud backup or deleting the app does not automatically delete iCloud saved games. Apple backups and Apple-held records are managed through Apple. Contact us if you need help identifying the available deletion controls.

9. Your rights and legal bases

Where the GDPR applies to personal data processed by Kaspar Media, providing requested game functions and verified purchased access relies on Article 6(1)(b). Optional cloud backup relies on your choice and consent under Article 6(1)(a), which you can withdraw for future backup activity by switching it off. General support and necessary service security rely on Article 6(1)(f), and required legal records on Article 6(1)(c). Apple describes its separate processing in its policies.

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data we hold, withdraw consent, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Contact support@kasparmedia.de to make a request. We cannot retrieve local-only game saves or access your private iCloud saved games.

We will update this page if the app’s data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
