Terms of use

1. The app and provider

Skyline Canvas is a creative city-artwork, map and memory app by Kaspar Media, Jan Wagener, Am Hohlen Weg 46, 34369 Hofgeismar, Germany. Contact support@kasparmedia.de for app or purchase support. The app is in development; final availability and supported devices are identified by its App Store listing when published.

2. App license

Copies distributed through the App Store are governed by the Apple Standard End User License Agreement, unless an expressly supplied custom license applies. Restrictions remain subject to rights granted by applicable law.

3. Your creations and exports

You retain any rights you hold in the words and other original content you add. Bundled artwork, templates, maps and other third-party material retain their respective rights and licenses. Exporting a PNG, PDF, GIF or MP4 does not transfer ownership of those underlying assets. Keep the map and weather attribution supplied by the app; a paid option to remove a Kaspar Media watermark does not remove required source attribution.

Use content you are entitled to use and respect other people’s privacy when sharing places, routes or personal captions. Available export formats, resolution and widget features depend on the access level shown in the app.

4. Maps, routes and weather

Maps and routes are provided for creative artwork. They are not safety-critical navigation, verified property boundaries or a guarantee of access to a route. Check real-world conditions independently. Weather is informational; source updates and online services can be delayed or unavailable.

Maps, place searches and calculated routes use Apple Maps. Keep Apple’s logos, legal markings and source attribution visible in exported artwork. Online map, search and route services require an internet connection. Three-dimensional buildings use Apple’s standard appearance and are available where supported by its map coverage. If you choose to record an activity, the app records the route only during the session you start or resume. GPS measurements, route distances and estimated durations can be inaccurate. Recording a route is not a navigation or emergency service. Offline access depends on files already stored on your device; it does not guarantee new map, route or weather downloads.

Optional 2D street-outline designs use OpenStreetMap data, OpenMapTiles and the OpenFreeMap service. Required attribution remains visible in maps, exports and widgets. Service availability and map coverage may vary.

5. Free and paid access

Free, Pro and Deluxe access are being prepared. Pro and Deluxe are offered as monthly or yearly subscriptions; lifetime access purchases are not offered. Regular additions to the city collection do not have a separate city purchase price. The purchase screen identifies the exact product, included features, billing period and price before you confirm. Paid access includes the features identified on the purchase screen. Seasonal special collections may be introduced separately in the future; they are not part of the current launch offering.

Apple handles payment and purchase restoration. Subscriptions renew under the terms displayed by Apple unless cancelled. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription in your Apple account; Apple explains how to cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. An eligible introductory trial lasts seven days. Apple determines eligibility; an account can use one introductory offer within the subscription group. After the trial, the subscription renews at the price shown unless cancelled. Trial eligibility, duration and subsequent billing are shown before you accept.

Restore eligible purchases with the Apple account used for the original purchase. Refund requests are handled through Apple. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Purchases in TestFlight use Apple’s test environment. Public App Store purchases are subject to the price and confirmation shown by Apple.

6. Memories, backups and widgets

Saved memories and editable source files are stored locally. Deleting the app or its data may permanently remove them. Export copies you want to keep. Restoring a purchase restores eligible access, not deleted memories. Apple device backups and files saved to Photos or other destinations are managed separately.

Changes in access level can affect available cities, widget sizes and export options. Widgets include selectable map frames and occasion designs, with optional dates and times. City-weather widgets use periodically refreshed snapshots rather than continuous live animation. iOS schedules widget refreshes; a widget is not guaranteed to update continuously or display live information at every moment.

7. Feedback and updates

You can submit or locally save city suggestions and feedback where the app supports it. Requests are considered without a promise of implementation or a delivery date. Additional city artwork is supplied as regional packs through Apple hosting. A manual request for missing artwork shows its regional package and size before downloading; automatic downloads follow the app’s location and connection settings. Removing eligible downloaded packages preserves saved memories. Content updates can arrive separately from app updates. Updates may change templates, city catalogs and supported features; information about material purchase conditions is provided in the app.

8. Consumer rights and privacy

These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. The applicable Apple license and law govern further warranty, liability and dispute provisions. Read the privacy policy for details about local files, external services, purchases and support.
